6 women. 9 months. God is so good.
We are leaving! God has been prepared such a wonderful team of women to make this journey together. I am beyond excited to live, serve and love these women. We have undergone training and laughed, cried and grown together. Please keep them in your prayers and visit their blogs for updates.
Amber.
"Amber has a teaching credential and will be giving up a classroom of kids in California in exchange for a classroom of missionary kids and Haitian nationals at Liberty Acacdemy in Montrouis. She will be teaching elementary school and is well-equipped and prepared for that part of her role these next 9 months. "'I am very excited to do this. I know that God has a purpose for me, and I cannot wait to be in Haiti doing His work!'"

Elise.
"Elise graduated from Biola University and has been doing odd jobs and attempting to find the right career path for her life. She has long been interested in Haiti and missions and when the opportunity arose to teach in Haiti, she had 3 days to commit and say, "yes." She has been a volunteer with Young Life's special needs ministry to high school students and definitely has the gifts of patience and compassion."
Kelsea.
"Kelsea graduated from Westmont in May and has spent the last 6 months interning for IMPACT. That internship led her first to Uganda for a month this summer.... and now to Haiti for 9 months. She had never been out of the country before and God has her on this amazing journey in His kingdom's work! She will be working partially at the school as one of the administrators as well as working closely with the orphans and helping coordinate short-terms teams coming to work with New Vision."
Lindsey.
"Lindsey graduated from Vanguard University in Irvine and has her math credential in secondary education. She turned down a teaching job this year to serve in Haiti. Her love for high school students and experience in ministry are the perfect combination for the older students at Liberty Academy. Lindsey is incredibly persistent and patient with kids as they learn and we are excited for what she has to offer to both Haitian and American students and their families."
Nicole.
Nikki graduated from Moorpark College and has been pursuing a Deaf Studies major with an interpreting emphasis at Pierce College. She has been working full time since returning from last year's IMPACT Romania mission trip, but an opportunity to serve abroad again has been something she has been praying for some time. Within one week of surrendering her 'missionary life' to God, she was contacted to intern in Haiti. With only 4 days to commit, she felt God gave her Psalm 41:1. 'Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the LORD delivers them in times of trouble.' She is so humbled and honored to learn from New Vision ministries. God is so good, and she's honored to be used for His kingdom's work."
